What To Post On Social Media In March For Dental Offices

What to Post on Social Media in March for Dental Offices
March is a great month to leverage social media to attract and engage your patients.

Here are some ideas for what to post on social media in March.

Accepting New Patients

In Q1, many patients may be looking to settle in with a new dentist. Whether they moved or want to change for another reason, this is a great time to let them know that your dental office is accepting new patients.

Spread the word on social media. State you are accepting new patients. Create posts promoting your new patient dental offers as well.

Use images of your dental office and current patients of all ages (with permission). Tell potential new patients what sets your practice apart and why they should choose you!

Leverage local hashtags to help relevant people see your post. For example, a dental practice in Hamilton may want to use hashtags like #HamiltonDentist #DentalOfficeHamilton #AcceptingNewPatients.

Open Appointments/Easy Scheduling

Some patients may not yet have come to the dentist this year because they were too busy in the earliest months.

Now that things have slowed down a bit, let your patients know that you have appointment openings. Create posts that talk about your convenient hours and flexible options. Do you offer evening or weekend appointments? Do you accept walk-ins? Promote this information via social media!

Additionally, talk about how easy it is to schedule an appointment with your dental office. This is especially important if you offer online scheduling. Let patients know how fast and easy it is to book an appointment that works for them, and tell them where/how to do it.

Holidays

March is best known for St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th), so maybe your patients can get lucky with a great dental deal or a fun giveaway! Of course, post about St. Patrick’s Day and any promotions you have. However, share some fun posts about other holidays this month including:
  • Month-long: National Nutrition Month. Remind patients how important nutrition is for oral health.
  • March 2: Dr. Seuss’ Birthday. Share a fun dental rhyme of your own in celebration!
  • March 1-14: National Procrastination Day. Spin a fun joke about not procrastinating dental care.
  • March 6: National Dentist’s Day. This one is a given!
  • March 8: International Women’s Day/Week. Educate patients about some of the most impactful women in dentistry!
  • March 13: Daylight Savings Time. Remind your patients to spring ahead and take care of their teeth!
  • March 17: St. Patrick’s Day
  • March 20: First Day of Spring
