What to post on social media in July for dental offices

Social Media For Dentists - July Ideas
After a very challenging start to 2020, we have made it past the halfway mark. As many dental offices open back up and focus on the new post-COVID era of dental service, social media marketing is more important than ever. After staying home for months, patients are behind on dental hygiene and desperately need your help, but the dentist may be the last thing on many people’s minds.

Leverage your social media this July to rebuild and strengthen patient relationships and to remind people of the importance of their dental care. In this post, we give some ideas for what dental offices should post on social media this July.

Safety Updates

Your June social media strategy should have included many COVID-19 updates, including what your practice is doing to keep employees and patients safe. You might continue that into July. Give a behind-the-scenes look at how your practice ensures hygiene and alert patients of any new updates. Answer your patients’ questions and make sure the expectations you have for patients are clear.

A photo speaks a thousand words, and photo-sharing is a crucial element of social media. Use your social media to remind patients of how vital their dental care is. Promote some of your key services by showing before and after photos. Include a short testimonial or patient review with the transformation images. Use recent images and cases of patients that came in after COVID to receive stellar dental treatment. Of course, always make sure to have the patient’s permission and to adhere to any requests they have for anonymity.

Team Introductions

Now is a great time to introduce new team members and share updates about experience ones. Sharing photos, videos, and bios of your team help personalize your dental practice and remind patients of the people behind it. Spread some team introductions out throughout the month. Share a static post or create a story for viewers to page through. Don’t forget to add the team bios to your dental website as well!

Sharing well-known, quirky, and fun holidays is another way to lighten the mood and connect with your audience on social media. Some of the top holidays you should post about on social media this July include:
  • July 1st – Canada Day. Celebrate your Canadian pride with a fun post on the 1st.
  • July 4th – Independence Day.
  • National Anti-Boredom Month – Share some tips patients can use to avoid boredom in the waiting room!
  • National Ice Cream Month – Everyone loves ice cream, even dentists! Make a fun post for national ice cream month, and remind patients they need those teeth cleaned after that surgery treat.
  • National Make A Difference to Children Month – Share how your practice makes a difference for children with pediatric and family dentistry.
